About Me

Hi, I’m Mira (美良), the owner of this food blog Meat and Meals!
In 2024, I was 41 years old. I thought I was having the best time of my life—but I was wrong. I fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases: Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (lupus).
ITP, the rarer of the two, nearly killed me in February 2025. My platelet count dropped to just 2k µL. It was a miracle that I survived—God saved me in those final moments.
The doctors didn’t seem too concerned about uncovering the root cause of my illnesses. They were quick to prescribe medications and told me I’d need to take them for the rest of my life. That was something I simply couldn’t accept.
Then I stumbled upon the carnivore diet on X. After reading countless testimonials, I decided to give it a try on February 24 2025 (it has been 71 days since then!). Since then, the carnivore diet has truly changed my life. My physical health improves every day—I’ve lost weight, I have more energy, I’m building muscle, and my endurance continues to grow.
I’ve become more optimistic. I no longer grieve the loss of my past health or spend hours on Reddit comparing symptoms with other patients, which only left me feeling worse. The carnivore diet gives me hope and a strong sense of purpose. It’s something I can actively work on, and I see progress every single day.
In this blog, I’ll share my favorite low-carb and carnivore recipes, along with everything I’m learning and experiencing on this journey—so you can find hope too.
I truly believe this: God designed our bodies to heal. Our health problems aren’t always genetic (even though doctors often blame our genes when they don’t want to search for the real cause). Often, it’s our food. When we nourish our bodies properly, they know how to repair and restore.
Stay calm—and eat meat!
